White strawberries. Shibuya. Tokyo. Japan. 3.31.2016.

Out of curiosity, Sophie and I bought a daifuku (mochi) with one of these on top at the Tsujiki Market. I am allergic to strawberries, so she gave me a full report. It is supposedly meatier and less flavorful... I also looked for square watermelons but I did not see one. Melons were incredibly expensive there in Japan. I am told they are typically given away as gifts.

12 perfect white strawberries will cost you ¥12,960, approximately $130.
