I met James Varnish last summer when I was wandering in Venice and we ended up talking about life for a bit at Caffè Florian. He told me how obsessed he was with this pastry he found in Italy that resembled a croissant but crunchy. I did not find it for the rest of my trip last summer sadly, but I stumbled upon it after landing at Milano Centrale getting a cappuccino on my way to Torino. It is called le code di aragosta. James was right, and they were delicious.
