Breadbelly + Jessica Fu + Dragon Beaux + True Laurel. San Francisco. California. 2.2026-3.2026.

I have walked by Breadbelly in the Richmond many times on one of my many walks back home from that part of town. Unfortunately, I had never been hungry at the time to stop and try it. I figured Dog Patch should be fine for Super Bowl Weekend so I checked out the new space that way. What didn't I get? Hey. At least I got a savory sandwich and ate the pastries later! Their Kaya Toast is a must. It's in a massive space. They had some seating outside up front and more in the back inside next to the pickleball court. Sadly I was unable to secure outdoor seating, as it was an especially lovely sunny day after all.

Jessica Little Fu had a pop up at Abacus Row so I had to place an order for a few things. She has done stints at State Bird Provisions, The Progress, and Stonewall Matcha. I would highly recommend you be on the look out for her pop ups if you are also a fiend for Asian pastries. Also, Abacus Row is such a great shop.

2 doors down from Abacus Row is another of my favorites, Dusted & Blue. It's a pottery studio that offers classes in addition to selling beautiful artisanal goods.

I am especially enamored with these speckled ceramic vessels.

I got the black sesame cookies and cream mini cake and the matcha sakura cream puff from Jessica Little Fu. The cake was PERFECTION. Aside from how gorgeous it was, the taste matched the cake. The crunchiness of the cake and its subtleties in flavor is what won me over. Simply WOW. Thank goodness she does not do too many pop ups for the sake of my waistline. The cream puff was also excellent with the subtle sakura flavor with its crunchy exterior.

To celebrate Lunar New Year, my aunt, cousin and I decided on a nice dim sum at Dragon Beaux. I love Dragon Beaux and Palette Tea House (sister restaurant and maker of my favorite chili oil). They use fresh shrimp in their dim sum and you can really taste the difference. The wagyu lo mien and seafood congee were also excellent.

My friends and I were going to Nine Inch Nails together so we grabbed a bite beforehand to catch up. After some thought, we decided upon True Laurel. True Laurel is one of the top 50 bars of the world. Hilariously only one of us was drinking. The food there is on par with its drinks with its gastropub offerings. You can sit outside on a sunny day and it's glorious. It was perfect for a pre-show as you can get the bites and share everything. The asparagus was the stand out dish, but everything was ace. They also do brunch!
