7.8.2019. Mirepoix. Ariège. France.

On day 3 at the château, we made a trip into Mirepoix, a medieval village, to see the market and thrift shops. It reminded me a bit of Colmar, due to the half timber buildings.

I met a miniature pig, and other creatures.

We couldn't resist this charming carousel either.

Karina thrifting for the château.

Then we stopped by Relais de Mirepoix for lunch.

On the way to the car I saw natural camouflage.

Upon our return to the château, we stopped by another château that was built in 850 and unrenovated. It also had a donkey; he rolled around in the dirt and showed me his butt.

It had a medieval hand-painted ceiling.
