This was the 18th century barn I stayed at in Oxford. It's not walking distance to the university, but it's only 2.5 miles away and there is a 24 hour bus line that runs all day a short walk away. That would be the trusty Škoda we rented for this road trip in the background. I highly recommend getting the smallest car you can get for the small English country roads.
