Boat ride to Capri + Blue Grotto. Italy. 6.9.2014.

We decided to take a boat ride to Capri on this day and check out all the grottos (caves). It was extremely hot, so being on the boat with the breeze was amazing. It was also nice to see all the towns from the ocean for a different perspective. However, Capri itself was far too touristy for our taste. Perhaps also because we had been to Positano the day before, so no beach was going to be better than that. That would be clouds over Pompei and Vesuvius below. Seeing the Blue Grotto was ethereal. It's a very short experience as it's not a big space and you have to duck your head down on the gondola to get inside. But I would recommend seeing it.
