I really enjoyed Royal Street. Running into Stalley is always awesome. Then you end up at Cafe du Monde for the best beignets the morning before you fly out right across the street from Jackson Square & St. Louis Cathedral.
It was pretty much full of ballers (Tinker Hatfield, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, Joe Johnson, Victor Oladipo, Jared Sullinger, and even Michael Jordan), rappers (Bun B & Stalley), and Win Butler (Arcade Fire). Yep. #TakeFlightNOLA

This would be my other favorite meal in New Orleans beside Nola. I loved the oyster spaghetti so much that I went back to eat it for my last lunch before flying out. But everything was great.

What I really like about Galatoire's is that it's very traditional. The food is also great. I am allergic to crab, but I am told that their soft shell crab is to die for. They also have the best Pecan Pie as they make it with an Oreo crust. To top it off, I asked the host to sing me a swampy song as it's my first time in the south and he serenaded me with a Bug's Bunny song. Simply amazing. Apparently their Friday lunch is legendary. You will have to go early to get a seat. Make a reservation.
So I was just in New Orleans for work. A part of it was scouting for mansions. Take a look at these beauties. They certainly do not make houses like that in San Francisco. The Buckner Mansion (second picture), which is in American Horror Story) is just simply incredible. The last one there was actually in Django Unchained. So much history in these beautiful homes.
